2453. Oliver Perry Hollingsworth
Oliver and his brother William served the Union in Indiana infantry regiments. William enlisted 13 Sept 1864 as a Private in Co. 1, 7th Infantry, and Oliver joined 23 May 1864 at age 17 with Co. E. 135th Infantry. William was wounded at Gettysburg. He mustered out 20 Sep 1864 and Oliver followed nine days later.
1938. John Hollingsworth (blacksmith)
John enlisted in 1863 in the 126th Ind. Regiment. John served under General Hood throughout the campaign, taking part in the Battle of Nashville, among other engagements, during his 17 months of service. After returning home, he and his wife moved to Darlington, Montgomery Co., Ind. where John and his wife opened a dry-goods and grocery business.

From Pren Hollingsworth. My father took care to be fair to everyone. Tom Edelin or his son (Tom) and brother started filling stations a block apart in Madill and operated them until the highway location was changed. First one, then the other closed down. I remember My Father would always stop for gas at, first one, then, on the next trip, the other for gas. The other brother was referred to as "Ed".
Ursula was teaching school when she married Roy Hollingsworth.
